What can you do?
If you are using a Netscape
Navigator:
See under "Options" whether "use JavaScript" has been
deactivated. You get there via "Edit" -> "Settings".
Under "Extended" you need to tick the "activate
JavaScript" option.
If you are using an Internet Explorer:
Here, the JavaScript is normally always active, but it might happen that it
does not work properly anymore or is damaged. In this case, continue as
described in the next paragraph.
Click with the mouse on the "?" in the top menu bar and select "Info". A window with information on the installed Internet Explorer will open. In case this window is empty or no data about the version and encryption are shown, the JavaScript function is damaged. That means also, that you cannot close the window via the "OK" button but can only close it with the "cross" at the top right corner.
Internet Explorer Version 4.x and lower:
You need to install the Internet Explorer anew on your computer. If you
haven't got one at hand you can also download it directly form the Microsoft
homepage (link: http://www.microsoft.com/germany/internet/ie/).
Internet Explorer Version 5.x and higher:
You don't need to install the browser anew, because there is a repair
routine. Go to System Control (you reach it via "Start" -> "Settings" ->
"System Control") and select "Software". Then go through
the list and look for "Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 and
Internettools" and double-click it to open it. Alternatively, you can
also get there via the button "Add/Delete". Here you have to
select "Repair Internet Explorer" and then confirm with
"OK".
Generally, it is always best to use the latest browser to view the SEMA Software homepage.
