The SEMA and ALLSAT Workshop on 3D measurement in Hanover demonstrated how easily and efficiently modern digital measurement can be used in the trade today. Carpenters, joiners and metalworkers were able to try out the digital measurement solutions for themselves and see how reliably and quickly the systems work.
An exciting and very hands-on morning awaited the participants at the SEMA and ALLSAT 3D measurement practice day in Hanover. Carpenters, joiners, metalworkers and planners from all over Lower Saxony came to try out the digital measurement solutions for themselves. The focus was clearly on workshoping and after a joint breakfast, the day got underway without further ado.

From the BLK360 G2 to the Leica iCS50: many are already on their way in 3D
Many companies are already working with digital measurement systems such as the Leica BLK360 G2 or the Leica iCS50 and used the opportunity to discover new applications. Others were novices and found out which system was best suited to their projects. The compact Leica BLK360 G2 laser scanner attracted a lot of attention. One metalworker summed it up very directly: "The laser scanner is really great. It's so easy, I can send the apprentice out straight away and save myself an engineer for a day."
SEMA software explained live on the model
Max Beckmann from the ALLSAT support team explained the processes of point clouds and was able to clarify many uncertainties directly. Zhe ALLSAT support team provides reliable assistance after the purchase, a perk that resonated with participants: "I'd rather call someone who can help me quickly than search for a long time and not find the right answer online."
Thomas Klaßen from SEMA then demonstrated step by step how point clouds are processed in the SEMA software. A look at real projects made it clear how easy it is to go from scan to model.
How 3D measurement makes everyday work easier
The entire morning made it clear how much safety and efficiency modern laser scanners bring to timber and metal construction. The direct handling of the BLK360 G2 or BLK360 SE, the RTC360 and the iCS50 showed how precisely measurements can be documented and how much time can be saved by using digital tools.
The SEMA and ALLSAT practice day in Hanover impressively demonstrated how practical and user-friendly digital 3D measurement works today. The participants took numerous suggestions, concrete application ideas and a lot of motivation back to their companies.
